Santa Cruz City Schools to place $200M in bond measures on November ballot

Published Wednesday July 27

SANTA CRUZ >> The Santa Cruz City Schools board voted Wed night to place 2 facilities improvement bond measures equalling an estimated $208 mill. on the Nov. eight election ballot.

The move, approved unanimously with the exception of absent board member Jeremy Shonick, comes a little more than a four weeks before the board is scheduled to approve a final Facilities Master Plan that will detail and prioritize how those bond funds would be spent. A study session to dig into the facilities plan is scheduled for six in the afternoon Aug. nineteen at an as-of-yet-undetermined location. The final plan’s approval is scheduled for a regular board meeting on Aug. 31.
