Swift Bites, Wed Feb 22: Clam Chowder Cook-Off debuts two-day event

A panel of judges will determine the Best Manhattan and Best Boston Clam Chowders on each day.

Chowder Cook-Off debuts two-day event

The 35th annual Santa Cruz Clam Chowder Cook-Off at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk will be Sat and Sun Feb. 25-26. The event is a two-day extraveganza for the 1st time. Amateur chefs will cook Sat and professional chefs will compete Sunday. Tasting kits are $10 each and include 6 tastes. The largest and longest-running clam chowder competition in the country is a fundraiser for the Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department.
